Public Sauna of the month
Inspired by Löyly Spa in Portland, Oregon over 10 years ago, Halina Kowalski became obsessed with starting her own sauna venture. She envisioned a similar permanent brick-and-mortar location south of Portland in Bend and she got to work in her head. And Gather House was born.

Who is Community Sauna Baths? Well, they are dedicated to providing affordable sauna sessions to the communities they serve. Electric sauna ventilation
Those that know me know that I have been digging deep with operation and performance of electric saunas. From a heater perspective, we’ll soon be learning that there is a lot more to good heat (thankfully) than elements stuffed with rocks. Wood burning stoves seem to cure most all ventilation ills, but electro saunas? I’ve enjoyed getting to know Malcolm, a 45 year now retired engineer who has been going deep with electric heater ventilation. More here.
