Sauna Talk
I really enjoyed getting on the sauna bench with three hugely warm hearted military vets. Josh & Mike, founders of Healing Heroes, who are bringing saunas to the homes of vets who are on their roads to healing. It’s hard for me to rate Sauna Talk episodes, yet like good heat, this episode gets right to the bones. As example, on the bench, Mike shares what it was like to be a Casualty Notification Chaplain. Powerful stuff, and with sauna positivity abound. Check out the episode here.

please welcome David who brings his floating barge sauna to Lake Washington in Seattle. The lake is cold. The weather often rainy, but everybody is leaving their sauna session with a warm smile. More here.
Sauna makeover
I’ve been in Jeff’s sauna in Wisconsin many times. He’s one of those “good heat aficionados” who enjoys sauna everyday. Not just sauna, but multiple round serious 200°f. sauna with serious cold plunge action throughout. His sauna exudes spiritual patina, and he undertook a refresh. Jeff tells me that he sleeps even better at night because his feet are now at the height of the rocks, warding off the law of löyly Poliisi. More here.
Help wanted: photo editor for the Sauna Life coffee table book
Do you know someone who loves looking at photos of saunas AND would enjoy doing some photo editing? We have a collection of photos that could use some Photoshop magic for our new book Sauna Life: from heat up to cool down. We’d love to sauna-source the photo editing to a couple volunteer enthusiasts, credit them within the book, and along the journey to sauna happiness.
If you or someone you know may be interested, please hit reply to this newsletter, and change subject heading to “Sauna Life photo editor.” We’d love to hear from you!
Help wanted: SaunaTimes media intern
Ok, i’ll admit it. Social media drives me crazy. And I have a dream: somewhere in our midst is a younger, enthusiastic, focused individual who is self motivated, digs sauna, and is open to harnessing their knowledge of clicking and hashtaging and all that jazz to help shore up SaunaTimes in the world of Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and any next thing that they may think is worthwhile.
Is this internship a paid position? I dunno. I do this for love, so I’d love to open the creative doors to the abundance mindset of “internship.” Know anyone who may fit this bill? Please hit respond here and change the subject heading to “SaunaTimes media intern” and we can hit the "like and share” button together.
